King's Christian School Offers Classes for Homeschoolers

In an effort to support our mission, in partnership with Christian parents, The King’s Christian School, a K-12 , non-denomination, college preparatory School, equips and strengthens students, through education and example, that they might stand firmly upon the Word of God and become effective servant-leaders who impact the world through their Christian walk, would like to partner with Christian parents who desire to homeschool for part of the day and enroll their children at King’s for a part of the day. Home school students, grades 4-12, may enroll at The King’s Christian School following the home school policy stated in the course selection guide.

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather! Cedar Run’s upcoming May 13th homeschool programs are as follows:

Ages 6+:
·  10 a.m.-1 p.m. (w/30 min. lunch)
·  Water, Water Everywhere: Where does your water come from? Is there enough to go around? Is our water at the Refuge healthy? Find out through observation and experimentation as we explore.
·  Please wear boots as we will be looking for macroinvertebrates in Cedar Run Lake. Be prepared to get a little wet and/or muddy if weather permits.

Ages 3-5:
·  10-11:30 a.m.
·  Animal Rescue Rangers: What do animal doctors do? Learn when and how to help wild animals. We will use games, stories, crafts, and more!

If you have children in both age groups we ask that you stay with the younger child. After their program is finished you are welcome to join us for lunch and complete the older program with us.

As usual the price is $7.00 per child and we ask that you sign-up in advance. I have attached the registration form for you to fill out and return by mail with your payment, or bring it with your payment on the day of the program. I hope to see some of you there!

Fernbrook Farms Looking for Homeschool Feedback

Dear Families,

We’re now half-way through my first Fernbrook Farms Homeschool semester and although the weather has been erratic everything is going well and I’ve enjoyed meeting many of the families.  As we plan for spring, I have some questions about how we might schedule and prepare an upper-level (ages 12-14) curriculum of classes.  I know that Tara and Eric held an upper-level class in the fall and some of you have been asking about when we will do it again.  As I continue to learn and get used to all the wonderful programs at Fernbrook, I want to make sure we have the time and resources to plan a class that would be a fun and beneficial learning experience for you, our Fernbrook families.  So I would greatly appreciate your input and advice to help move forward with a decision on upper-level classes and, if there is enough interest, how to create the best possible curriculum.

Cedar Run's Homeschool Program for April

Ages 6+: Pinelands Ecology

Please let me know if you are able to attend. Click here for the registration form

See you then!

Leadership Faith Statement

The Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It contains His completed and final revelation to man. We do not endorse or encourage the use of any teaching that conflicts with what is contained in it. The Holy Bible in its original form is without error in its entirety. The Word of God has been and will remain the ultimate authority as we seek His wisdom in representing His group in a way that honors and magnifies the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement

Living Water Home Educators is composed of homeschool families in Burlington County, NJ and surrounding areas who come together to support one another. Each family that homeschools is an independent, private school that has the freedom to install the beliefs and values that we, the parents, feel are most important to our children. Since this group is not affiliated with any one particular church, we feel it is important for you to know where the leadership of this group stands so that you can feel comfortable participating in the activities and events we offer.
