Education Network of Christian Homeschoolers of NJ (ENOCH) - www.enochnj.org

The Education Network of Christian Homeschoolers of New Jersey is an organization created by a group of Christian home educators in 1989 who recognized the many difficulties associated with seeking basic information on homeschooling issues, curriculum, activities and finding a support group.

Its main purpose is to serve home educators on a STATE level and to help support group leaders throughout NJ do a good job for their members.  ENOCH of NJ does not charge for membership.

ENOCH maintains a STATEWIDE list of support groups; it runs an annual support group leadership conference and statewide essay contests; and, it sends out an e-newlsetter including activities for homeschoolers ALL OVER THE STATE OF NJ.   This just names a few things that ENOCH does for you.  Most importantly, ENOCH runs the NJ ANNUAL HOMESCHOOL CONVENTION.

Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) - www.hslda.org

If you homeschool, you MUST consider joining the HSLDA!  The Home School Legal Defense Association is a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms.   Through annual memberships, HSLDA is tens of thousands of families united in service together, providing a strong voice when and where needed.

Some of what HSLDA does:

  • Protect your right to homeschool
  • Promote homeschooling
  • Preserve homeschool freedoms
  • Actively oppose legislation that would reduce parental freedoms

Mission Statement

Living Water Home Educators is composed of homeschool families in Burlington County, NJ and surrounding areas who come together to support one another. Each family that homeschools is an independent, private school that has the freedom to install the beliefs and values that we, the parents, feel are most important to our children. Since this group is not affiliated with any one particular church, we feel it is important for you to know where the leadership of this group stands so that you can feel comfortable participating in the activities and events we offer.
