ENOCH Convention Offers Families of Preschoolers FREE Registration!
Submitted by Administrator on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 3:45pm.Happy twenty-ten, everyone!
This is a quick announcement about this year's ENOCH Convention. The dates are May 14-15.
And, guess what??? This year families with (only) preschoolers can pre-register for free!!! If you know someone who has children who are 5 and under, please pass this information along to them!
The ENOCH Convention is where my husband and I decided that we would embark on the homeschool journey. It is the single place where dozens of questions and concerns can be addressed all at once. The Convention is great for everyone, but it is especially helpful to those who are just thinking about home education.
Please help spread the word! Check out the website at www.enochnj.org.

ENOCH Annual Homeschool Convention Update
Submitted by Administrator on Sun, 01/03/2010 - 10:06pm.By Sue August
Even though you’re probably not thinking a whole lot about the ENOCH Convention yet, some of our volunteer staff members are! Here’s a quick explanation of what’s new and exciting for 2010.
• This year the convention dates are May 14-15, 2010. Mark your calendar now!
• Free admission for Parents of Preschoolers – Parents whose oldest child is Age 5 or younger get in free if they register online. Part of ENOCH’s mission is to spread the word about the advantages of homeschooling. By offering free admission to Parents of Preschoolers, we’re hoping to make it easy for these young parents to explore the advantages of homeschooling. ENOCH needs your help! You are the ones who can get the word out to these families. Look around your neighborhoods and churches and be sure to invite families of young children to register for the convention – free of charge! David Hazell, of My Father’s World, will present a special series of workshops geared especially for these families.
• Back by popular demand, we’ll have Historical Happenings presenting our Children’s Program. They will offer 3 two-hour sessions this year. The other 2 two hour sessions are tentatively being planned to have a science emphasis.
• Keynote Speakers will be Steve and Terri Maxwell and the rest of the Maxwell Family, and Rebecca Powell.
• Still in the works – Our Speaker Coordinator is working on putting together a special Teen Track. More details will be in upcoming issues of the ENOCH e-newsletter.
We’ll keep you posted via the ENOCH of NJ e-newsletter as more of the details for the 2010 Convention get firmed up.

There’s nothing like the first snowfall of the year to get me in the mood for skiing! How frustrated I was that I was snowed in at home in South Jersey! I couldn’t help thinking how great it would have been to be in the Poconos. To see some great photos from Shawnee Mountain, use this link: http://www.shawneemt.com/ Read the rest of this article for details for ENOCH’s Winter Fun Days. If you plan to join us, don’t delay. The Early Bird Registration deadline is Jan. 11.

ENOCH of NJ 2009 Convention - This Coming Weekend!

Friends,
Homeschooling is full of rewards and good memories. Unfortunately, like most other worthwhile things in life, it is also even more full of the mundane, challenges and frustrations. At the end of a school year many homeschoolers find themselves shell shocked and weary. Time and time again I've heard homeschooling moms say, "I never used to bother with workshops or speakers, I only came for the curriculum - but now the workshops are the main reason I come." Why do I think you will say that too? I think it's because you will hear from veterans who have a passion for what God can do in your homeschool, who can chear you on, help you laugh at yourself, and remind you of where you are going.
